Raelynn Chase an Afro-Canadian Native, discovered her passion for movement at the age of five. Raelynn closely studied the Cecchetti and Vaganova Ballet syllabi and has received numerous dance certifications growing up in Windsor, Ontario. In addition, Raelynn has studied genres such as modern (Horton/Graham/Taylor), West African, Gyrokinesis, Pointe work, Tap (Al Gilbert), Jazz, Urban/Commercial dance styles. Her current studies have allowed her the privilege to train abroad in New York City, she was awarded a Scholarship for 2017-2018 at the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

Throughout her journey, she has continued to train extensively to receive her certifications in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern/Contemporary dance. Her artistry began with ballet lessons, closely studying the Cecchetti Council of America's syllabus.
Raelynn passed highly commended on her Cecchetti Method Certification examinations grades 1-4. Intense Vaganova ballet training with mentor Luda Knyazeva allowed Raelynn's acceptance into Canada's Royal Winnipeg Summer Program in 2008. In addition to her humble begins with ballet, Raelynn had the privilege to dance for Dance Barre Elite Company, family owned and ran by industry professionals Lindsay and Blake Angier.
Through the love and support from her mother Raelynn was able to travel and compete in dance competitions throughout the U.S; winning overall solo titles and numerous scholarships such as “Future Star” from L.A Dance Magic. Raelynn trained in urban dance styles during her travels to North Hollywood, Los Angeles; Debbie Reynolds, Millennium Dance Complex, Movement Lifestyle and EDGE Performing Arts Center. During classes and auditions, Raelynn has caught the eyes of renowned teachers such as Sonya Tayeh, Travis Wall and Jamal Story.

In 2012 Raelynn received the "Teacher’s assistant award" from Co. Dance; a dance convention cofounded by Paula Abdul. This opportunity allowed her to assist alongside industry professionals such as Tucker Barkley, Judy Rice, and Kayla Radomski.

Organically, Raelynn moved to Toronto in 2012 to appear in the Top Ten on Music Music's show "New.Music.Live". On the show, she competed and landed a spot in the Top 2 of Shawn Desmans ALIVE Dance Competition. Raelynn is proud to call Toronto "home" and her creative workspace. As a performer, choreographer and coach she works in the community to spread wisdom and knowledge about dance, technique and performance.

2015, Raelynn was accepted to study in New York City at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre Certificate Program. Raelynn's desire to further her dance and holistic health education has been deeply influenced and inspired by her mothers devastating stage 4 metastatic breast cancer diagnosis.

"The Chase Project"  was conceptualized by Raelynn in 2015; the showcase was produced by her "spiritual mother", vocal and performance mogul Paula Griffith. To help alleviate expenses for her education in New York City, Raelynn brought together community and connections to create a fundraiser showcase that was entirely volunteer-based, all dancers/curators donated their time and talent. Her most recent fundraiser was a tribute show to her late mother Debra, who passed on January 2017.  Raelynn will continue to re-create this showcase to fundraise for others in need and expand her connection with audiences in Canada.

Budding artistic entrepreneur, performer and coach, Raelynn has recently returned from studying movement abroad in New York City in the “Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre” Scholarship Program. Studying Modern Dance, International Ballet Styles with extracurricular opportunities to work with Ray Mercer a member of the Tony Award-winning cast of Disney's Lion King.
